Park Ballroom Wedding | Julie & Brandon | New Prague, MN

Hello again there, lovely readers! Today, I’m thrilled to share the heartwarming story of Julie and Brandon, a couple whose love story truly touched my heart. From the moment I met them, I could sense the emotional, loving, and heartfelt vibe that they brought to their special day. Their wedding took place at Saint Wenceslaus and their reception was at the Park Ballroom in New Prague, MN

Meeting on a Modern Note

Julie and Brandon’s journey began in the digital age – they connected on the dating app Plenty of Fish. As fellow sarcastic souls, they found themselves drawn to each other’s wit and humor. After chatting for about a month and a half, they decided to meet in person. Their first date at Burger Jones in Burnsville marked the beginning of a love story that would fill their lives with laughter and joy. Despite the burger not making Brandon’s infamous “Top Burgers” list, the chemistry they had online translated seamlessly into the real world. And just like that, their shared journey took off!

A Touching Tribute to Julie’s Father

Julie’s father holds a special place in her heart, even though he passed away when she was just 10 years old. For her wedding, Julie wanted to honor his memory in a heartfelt way. She incorporated her father’s bow tie – a sentimental piece from her parents’ wedding – into her bouquet, along with charms and a picture of him. His presence was palpable as she walked down the aisle, her father’s chair placed at the front during the ceremony, and then moved to the reception, ensuring he had the best seat in the house. In lieu of a father-daughter dance, Julie chose to share a touching slideshow of her childhood memories, leaving not a dry eye in the room. It was a touching way to include him in every part of her special day.

Julie, I can safely say, your father was there, standing right by your side, the entire day.

A Day Filled with Love and Sunshine

The wedding day, set against the charming backdrop of Saint Wens and the Park Ballroom in New Prague, Minnesota, was a perfect blend of sunshine and love. Despite forecasts of rain, the weather turned out to be on our side – a beautiful 80-degree day in early August. Julie, ever prepared, had her trusty neck fan to keep cool during our outdoor photo sessions. The atmosphere was filled with emotions and warmth, a true testament to the love these two share.

The Perfect Attire

Julie looked absolutely stunning in her gown from Luxe Bridal MN, radiating grace and elegance. Brandon rocked a suit from Amazon, while the bridesmaids donned dresses from the Wedding Shoppe. The groomsmen’s suits also came from Amazon, completing the wedding party’s ensemble with style and significance.

A Connection Beyond the Lens

As fate would have it, Julie and I share a passion for teaching. Our conversations often veered into discussions about our students, our summers, and the special moments we’ve experienced in our classrooms. It’s truly heartwarming to connect with fellow educators who appreciate the beauty of capturing life’s precious moments. I absolutely love it when fellow teachers choose to have me photograph their wedding day.
