Two Harbors, MN Couples Session: Sara and Charlie

Sara and Charlie joined me this past weekend in Two Harbors, MN for an adventurous and intimate Couple’s Session. If you have never been to Two Harbors, MN, you definitely need to make the trip to Agate Beach Bay, and to see the larger than life chicken statue that welcomes you.

We started off the session on the path that leads out to the lighthouse. As we were doing some walking prompts, the fog started rolling in….fast. I remember I was looking through the viewfinder, snapping some pictures when I look up to give them praise, and I can’t even see the lighthouse or boat behind them anymore. The fog continued to overtake the scenery, but the results were so cool!!

Sara and Charlie were celebrating their 217 months together anniversary! Yes if you did the math, that is 18 years and 1 month together! What a better excuse to send the kids to grandma’s and take a little “us” time adventure. These two’s love and fondness of each other was still screaming HONEYMOON PHASE! It is like they never lost that, which is what every couple strives for!

One of the most special moments from their session was when we found a log on the rocks. We all immediately thought that we needed to use this log in some fashion because it was really cool. I had them both take a seat. Intertwine their legs. Look at each other. And then I asked them to think about the next 10 years. They will be empty nesters. I asked them to make promises to each other that they would accomplish in the next 10 years. They then continued to make promises to each other for the next 7-10 minutes. And they didn’t even hesitate! It was just such an inspiring moment to capture. I don’t know what they promised each other, but I just know that they will keep those promises!

Promise me you will be with me forever and always! We have a lot of dreams to fulfill together. I promise that I’ll do my part with the best I can do, always and forever.

Sara and Charlie, thank you for joining me on my North Shore adventure. Sara, it was great seeing you again and being able to talk about your life again, and of course the crazy distance learning we were both a part of. I wish you all the best with this upcoming school year as well. Charlie, thank you for being up for talking in your high pitched girly voice and listing vegetables to make your wife laugh. Thank you both for giving it your all with my crazy prompts. You never hesitated. No matter how ridiculous they were. Thank you for choosing me to capture your love story. Continue to share and express your love and feelings to one another. I hope that you are able to keep those promises and reflect on the reasons that you love one another. Enjoy your pictures. I can’t wait to share with you more of them!
