Minneapolis Wedding Photographer: My Why

I knew why love was always described with eternity. A single minute stretched out for lifetimes.

His eyes gazed upwards. He mouthed a prayer. He sighed a big relief. Took a deep breath. Exhaled. A calm came over him. He was about to see his bride for the first time.

She trembled. A single tear ran down her face. Her hands were shaking. She took a deep breath. Exhaled. A calm came over her. She was about to see her future groom for the first time.

The first time I saw you, my heart whispered “That’ the one.”

The groom took her hand. She gently grabbed his. He slipped the ring onto her finger. Shaking. Promising their love. Til death due them part.

The music played. He extended his hand. She took it. They walked to the dance floor. Wrapped their arms around each other. And danced. For the first time as one.

Her father, with tears, welled up in his eyes, eloquently shared the story of her birth.

The guests, all for them, cheered as they ran through the sprinkler arch.

“I would find you in any lifetime.”

This is my why. I love these little moments. I can never have enough of them. Ever since I was little, I dreamed of my wedding day. I loved going to weddings. Looking at bridal gowns. Flowers. The rings. You name it. I loved it.

Skimming through wedding magazines. I know every “Say Yess to the Dress” episode. I gawked over royal weddings. Dreamed to someday own my very own wedding boutique. I have loved everything about this industry since I could remember.

When I started photographing families and couples, I knew that I wanted to photograph the big, luxurious weddings, that I used to dream about when I was younger. And now, I am living my dream. I love my job and I can’t wait to continue to love my job for years to come.

I love learning about why my couples love each other. How they met. The proposal. I love hearing about their wedding planning. All the details! There is so much excitement and joy when people talk about weddings. It’s uplifting and positive. I love being surrounded by love! Seeing people’s love story unfold. Being caught up in the moment and with one another. The stories. The laughs. The tears. Everything. I love it all. This is my why!
