I had the immense pleasure of capturing Brittany and Nick’s beautiful wedding day at the beautiful Cannon River Winery, in the charming city of Cannon Falls, Minnesota.
Their Love Story
Their love story began in the digital age, with a chance connection on Eharmony. It was a fateful message from Nick that sparked their journey. Brittany’s close friend and bridesmaid played cupid by convincing her to sign up for the dating site one evening. When Nick messaged her, the two quickly realized they had something unique in common – they had both visited Peru. It didn’t take long for them to fall in love, and the rest, as they say, is history.
A Christmas Proposal
Nick’s proposal was nothing short of heartwarming and unexpected. He surprised Brittany with a ring for Christmas. After she opened it with delight, he casually mentioned, “I’m glad you like the ring; maybe I should give you the real one.” He then presented the real engagement ring. The Christmas ring became a symbol of their unique love story, now serving as her wedding band.
Cannon River Winery Wedding
The Cannon River Vineyard set the stage for their ceremony, a picturesque venue surrounded by the breathtaking rolling hills of Cannon Falls. Their love story was beautifully woven into the fabric of their wedding day. Brittany, who works for a bus company, arranged for a charming old trolley bus to transport them and their loved ones to and from the vineyard. This created a meaningful connection to her profession and added an extra layer of charm to the celebration.
Late September brought an unexpected heatwave to their wedding day, making it one for the record books. However, the vibrant fall colors that surrounded us, paired with the golden hue of the sunlight, created an atmosphere that was nothing short of magical. As the sun began to set after their ceremony, the sky painted a dreamy backdrop, setting the stage for an unforgettable evening.
Dapper Outfits
Brittany looked absolutely timeless in her wedding dress from Flutter Bridal, radiating elegance that perfectly matched the wedding’s overall vibe. Her bridesmaids donned black gowns that not only looked stunning but also reflected each of their unique personalities. Black bridesmaid gowns have quickly become a favorite trend of mine for their versatility and timeless appeal. The men dressed in sharp black suits from Men’s Wearhouse completed the elegant and sophisticated look of the entire wedding party.

One special moment that stood out was Brittany and Nick’s thoughtfulness and dedication to their guests. They took a moment to connect with each and every one of their loved ones by capturing group pictures with each table. It was a touching and heartwarming gesture that highlighted their genuine and personal connection with their guests. Making their wedding day even more memorable.
