Lafayette Club Wedding | Ben and Ellie | Minnetonka, Minnesota

The Lafayette Club around Lake Minnetonka was the perfect backdrop for Ben and Ellie’s wedding.
Their Day of Coordinator, Renee, with Pine Lane Weddings, did such an amazing job helpplan and design their wedding. It was absolutely breathtaking, and so relaxed.

How did the couple meet?

The Lafayette Club was such the perfect venue for these two, because of so many reasons

Ben is the owner of Minnetonka Docks (if you are in need of any dock help, he is your guy!)
Ben and Ellie met while Ben was actually installing Ellie’s dock in the summer of 2020
They live just a boat ride away around Lake Minnetonka
Their first date was golfing at the Lafayette Club

Not only are those obvious reasons on why choosing the Lafayette Club was the obvious choice, this venue is absolutely gorgeous! Not only does it have the backdrop of Lake Minnetonka, the lucious greens of their golf course, but the reception space is to die for! Plus the food….delicious!

How did the groom propose?

They always say, “When you know, you know.” And that couldn’t be more true than when it comes to Ben and Ellie. Once they started talking, Ben knew right away that he was going to marry this girl, and he couldn’t wait to do it! He decided the perfect way to pop the question was by having their dog Ralphie help. Can we all say “AWWWW”

The day

The day started at Ben and Ellie’s house. Ellie was surrounded with the love of her closest girlfriends helping her get ready and enjoying the precious moments before her first look with Ben.
After Ellie’s mother helped her get her dress on she did a reveal with her girlfriend. Everyone screamed when she came out.

We decided to do Ben and Ellie’s first look right in their backyard overlooking the lake. When I tell you how estastic both Ben and Ellie were, I mean it. They are both just so laid back and relaxed, and just so comfortable with one another.

Honestly, I think the best part of the day was when Ben and Ellie joined their family for a boat ride on their family boat “The Skipper.” Can I just make a rule that all weddings need to have a boat ride included? Just kidding of course. But the water was so calm, the weather was perfect, and the family was full of laughs and stories.

Everything about Ben and Ellie’s day was so perfect and so uniquely them. So without further ado….the pictures.
