New Ulm Turner Hall Wedding | Stephanie and Miles

Stephanie and Miles’s Wedding at The Historic Turner Hall in New Ulm, Minnesota
last weekend was one I won’t soon forget. This wedding was one that their families have
been looking forward to for YEARS. Seriously. They have created the most adorable little family and that needed to happen now was…legalities.

How did they meet?

Stephanie and Mile’s love story is one of serendipity. They met back in 2019 through Stephanie’s daughter’s dad. What started off as a friendship, took off into a full-on love story.

How did he propose?

After a couple of years of dating, they took their next step. Miles planned the whole thing and decided to pop the question on Christmas Eve. With everyone cuddled around the Christmas tree, and the snow falling all around, Miles got down on one knee and the next thing Stephanie knew, he was proposing in front of the whole family.

Fast forward a year from then and we are here on this gorgeous day in New Ulm, where they call home.

Stephanie and Miles define fun-loving, adventurous, down-to-earth couples in love and
this is everything I hope for when I photograph couples. I wish for laughter, joy, and easy-going couples with big hearts for the people in their lives. This is Stephanie and Miles to a T!

The Wedding Day

Stephanie and Miles decided to go the traditional route and forgo the First Look. They wanted the first time they saw each other to be when they walked down the aisle….becoming husband and wife.

There was a sense of calm when I walked into Turner Hall that morning.

Everyone was laughing and crying, enjoying these moments with each other before they joined as one. As Stephanie got into her dress all of her bridesmaids waited anxioulsy in the hall for her grand entrance. Everyone screamed when she came out. She was jaw-dropping and her positivity was more radiant than ever. Her bridesmaids as they were just so excited to be a part of the day.

The groom and his groomsmen enjoyed the morning with each other cracking jokes and enjoying their company. We decided to have a tackle session to pump Miles’ up before the ceremony started.

The weather was a perfect 76 degrees with no humidity which was such a treat compared to the thunderstorms that were predicted

When the ceremony began, the anticipation could be felt all around. Underneath the shade of the trees, and surrounded by all their loved ones, Stephanie and her dad took their walk. Miles, holding onto their son, smiled with awe as he watched his bride walk down the aisle. It was a beautiful ceremony.

As they are becoming one, they are also blending their beautiful family together as well. Instead of a unity candle, they decided to have each one of their family members collect a jar that symbolized who they were and poured them into a collective jar…symbolizing their family becoming whole.

After the ceremony, we took family and wedding party photos and then it was time
for the bride and groom portraits!! We went to the gorgeous Schells Brewery to explore their gardens and to take the most beautiful of portraits. Once we had chased the sunset, it was time to dance the night away. The dance floor was hopping all night.

Congratulation Stephanie and Miles! And thank you for choosing me to capture your big day
