Cake Smash: Sterling’s 1 year

Sterling, Taylor, and Carter joined me in Northfield last week for Sterling’s 1 year Cake Smash and Family Session.

 

“Let me love you a little more before you’re not little anymore.”

 

Children have a way of coming into your life and instantly making every stress and though just magically disappear. They have this sense of joy and pureness about them. They remind us of how precious life is. They make us younger again. They bring a smile to our faces. And as you watch them grow, it only continues to make our heart glow with love.

 

I had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family back in October when Sterling was only about 3 months old. It was so special to capture his 1 year Cake Smash just a few short months later. I love it when my families come back and I get to watch their little family grow.

 

I always enjoy capturing the love between families, and this one was so special.

 

Once we got to the actually Cake Smash portion of this session, Sterling didn’t quite know what to think. He enjoyed playing around with the frosting and cake but didn’t quite know if he was allowed to actually eat the cake. He did finally start to warm up to the idea towards the end and we got some great shots of him devouring the cake! He was such a cutie!
