As a fellow teacher, I instantly connected with them over our shared passion for education and the bittersweet feeling of savoring those precious summer vacations before they slip away.

Let me take you on a journey through their charming lakeside engagement session at Cedar Lake Farm in New Prague, Minnesota.

The Session

From the moment I met Austin and Jessi, I knew we were going to have a blast. They are such a laid-back and fun-loving pair, always up for new adventures. As we chatted and got to know each other, they eagerly expressed their adoration for the lake life, making it evident that they desired their engagement session to reflect this cherished part of their lives.

While golden hour approached, we found ourselves at the picturesque Cedar Lake Farm. The serene waters and the gentle rustle of the trees created the perfect ambiance for capturing their love. We kicked off the session with a warm and relaxed atmosphere. This allowed them to feel completely at ease in front of the camera.

My Favorite Part

One of the most memorable moments of the day was when we ventured into the lake. Austin and Jessi didn’t hesitate to get their feet wet and embrace the playful vibes. To our surprise, a curious little girl approached us, captivated by the photoshoot. Rather than stopping or getting upset, Austin and Jessi, being the sweethearts they are, simply kept going with the flow. Making her feel included in the experience. It was heartwarming to witness such genuine kindness and grace from the couple.

Now, here comes my favorite prompt of the night! I asked Austin and Jessi to sit on the dock with their feet dipped in the water. It was a simple moment, yet it perfectly captured their love and connection. They looked so natural and carefree, lost in each other’s company. I couldn’t help but smile as they shared a private moment. Their laughter mingled with the soothing sounds of the lake.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, we wrapped up the session feeling absolutely thrilled about the magic we had captured. Their love for each other was truly evident in every shot we took. I couldn’t be happier with the results.
