A Rustic and Elegant, Tuscany-Inspired, Wedding at Redeemed Farm: Kelsey and Grant’s Big Day

On a beautiful day in Scandia, MN, Kelsey, and Grant celebrated their love at the stunning Redeemed Farm, a luxury barn wedding venue and vineyard estate spread across 40 picturesque acres. From the soaring ceilings and dramatic lighting of the Stable to the lush, verdant grounds, this venue was the perfect setting for a wedding that was as rustic as it was glamorous and elegant.

The Beginning of Kelsey and Grant’s Journey

Kelsey and Grant’s love story began at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD). Kelsey worked in the advising office of the business school. Grant, needing help with his class schedule, walked in one day and started a conversation with Kelsey that never really ended. Their first date, a romantic dinner at Clearwater Grille on Valentine’s Day, marked the beginning of their beautiful journey together.

A Proposal to Remember

Grant proposed to Kelsey at Tettegouche State Park in front of the high falls. This spot with special meaning for the couple. Early in their relationship, they had enjoyed a picnic here, making it the perfect place for Grant to pop the question. Thoughtful as always, Grant had a photographer waiting at the top of the hike to capture the special moment.

The Redeemed Farm Wedding Day

Kelsey and Grant’s wedding day was nothing short of magical. The couple chose Redeemed Farm for its blend of natural beauty and elegant glamour. The farm’s rich history and restored 1902 farmstead provided a picturesque backdrop for their special day.

As a photographer, I’ve always dreamed of shooting at Redeemed Farm. This venue stands out for its stunning architecture, heartfelt ambiance, and lush grounds. I photographed a wedding here back in 2018 before the White Stable was built. I have been itching to return to see this and capture this beautiful venue again. 

Naturally, I arrived early on the wedding day, eager to capture every beautiful moment. The clear blue sky and bright sun made the outdoor pictures on the Vineyard Lawn absolutely breathtaking. The stonewall arch, adorned with florals, was particularly striking. Redeemed Farm’s layout offered the perfect setting for each part of the celebration.

The Bridal Attire

Kelsey looked stunning in her Stella York wedding dress from Raffine Bridal, featuring a beautiful signature bow on the back paired with a simply elegant ball gown. For the reception, she changed into a fitted crepe dress. This dress still adorned the signature bow, allowing her to dance the night away in comfort and style. Grant and his groomsmen wore elegant gray suits from Men’s Warehouse. Kelsey’s bridesmaids donned light blue floral dresses from Revelry, each chosen to match the style and personality of Kelsey’s close friends.

Special Touches and Memorable Moments

The day was filled with unique and heartfelt touches. One of the standout decor elements was the 5 foot floral vases that lined the ceremony aisle along with being a centerpiece during the reception.

In a special nod to their shared love for pizza, Kelsey and Grant hosted a Late Night Pizza Review. This was a playful tribute to their favorite pastime of rating pizzas, inspired by Dave Portnoy’s One Bite Pizza reviews. The highlight of the Maid of Honor speech was when Kelsey’s sisters used the pizza rating scale to give the couple’s relationship a perfect 10/10 score.

Emotional Highlights

One of the most memorable moments of the day was the first look at the aisle. As the white barn doors opened, Grant’s face lit up with emotion as he saw Kelsey walking towards him. His brothers, standing by his side, gave him a knowing look of approval, acknowledging the wonderful woman he had chosen to spend his life with. Kelsey’s reaction was equally beautiful, capturing the raw emotion and love shared between them.

A Sweet Ending

For dessert, the couple chose to serve Crumbl Cookies in three delightful flavors: Regular Sugar, Peanut Butter Delight, and Cookie Monster. The delicious treats were a hit among the guests, adding a sweet ending to a perfect day.
